ADRA Asia Regional Office (ARO) based in Bangkok Thailand was established to provide administrative and programmatic support to the 16 implementing country offices in south, southeast and northeast Asia. The support ranges from strategic planning, financial system establishment and monitoring, organizational development, program design and development, program evaluation and human resource development.

ARO promotes professional growth of the individual and the organization; and assists country offices in adapting state-of-the-art industry practices.
ARO liaises with donors and ADRA country offices worldwide to promote development in South Asia, Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia; and to help attract funding for the implementing country offices.

ARO Newsletter Issue 1 2007: Queen Sofia began her inspection of the works by walking to the primary health center of Bawolato where ADRA has renovated the toilets and constructed a new water supply system consisting of rain collection and water tanks. Her Majesty asked the clinic doctor to explain the impact of this project on the work and the health of the patients. The reply was that the water tank and piping had greatly facilitated the health care providers in their work, especially through the provision of clean water for washing and sterilizing the medical equipment that they use each day.
